Hamann doesn’t believe Raheem has regained his confidence.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann does not believe Raheem Sterling can regain his form and confidence when he joins Arsenal.

The England star became surplus to requirements for Enzo Maresca at Chelsea and was eventually loaned out to the Gunners this season. But in the seven games he has played. He has only managed one goal and one assist, which came in the 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Bolton at home.UFABET

Although there is still plenty of time left in the season. Hamann does not believe Sterling will ever return to the form he enjoyed at Liverpool and Manchester City.

“I hope we will see the same Raheem Sterling we saw at Liverpool and Manchester City. But I don’t think we will see that level of play at Arsenal,” Hamann told FlashScore.

“He’s 29 now, he’s losing pace and stamina. If you look at his form. He’s been in decline since he left Manchester City, I wonder if he’ll ever come back.”

I don’t think there will be one single Chelsea fan who disagrees with this. I was surprised that Arsenal wanted to bring Sterling in, even if he could perhaps make an impact off the bench at times and I guess as it’s a loan move, they didn’t have much at all to lose.
